Lenovo Philippines Uses Augmented Reality for Kobe Bryant K900 Promo
Looks like the Lenovo and Kobe Bryant collaboration is in full-court press mode: The TVC featuring Bryant and the Lenovo K900 has been making the online rounds, as the phone maker runs a special kind of promotion.
To summarize: those who pose with a standee of Kobe Bryant, which has been distributed to retailers of Lenovo phones throughout the Philippines, stand a chance to win a Lenovo K900. One winner will be chosen every month, so read up on the promo mechanics and start looking dear readers!
Lenovo’s promotion also lets participants have a little basketball fun, through an Augmented Reality app called Zappar. If the software, which runs on Android and iOS smartphones, “sees” a Kobe Bryant standee, it will automatically load a virtual shootout game. Players have to properly “aim” their shot by sliding their finger on the screen at the right time; the name of the game is to score as much points as possible.
