Acer Aspire E1 (471) Starts at P22,400 in the Philippines

While it won’t wow the power-user crowd, Acer’s 14-inch laptop promises good capability at a price suitable for students and others with limited budgets.

The Acer Aspire E1 is available in the Philippines at two price points: ₱22,400 if you opt for one with Linux pre-installed, or ₱24,900 for the Windows 7 Home Basic flavor.

It has a 14-inch 1366 x 768 screen, which is pretty standard for laptops of the E1′s size nowadays. The card-reader accepts SD, MMC and even Memory Stick cards, so budding photographers should have no problems saving their images. The laptop should have enough for those who want to type out reports, fill out spreadsheets, and surf their favorite websites. Yet again, those into hardcore video gaming, 3D modeling and animation and other high-demand computer applications should look elsewhere.
