The 7 Best Bayo “What’s Your Mix?” Parodies Online

Yesterday, some Filipinos online were outraged at Bayo’s new “What’s Your Mix?” ad campaign. The furor has died down somewhat as of this morning, but it lasted long enough to spawn at least 7 hilarious parodies that were shared throughout Facebook.

Bayo’s campaign sought to celebrate the “Filipino lineage”, highlighting Filipinos of mixed-ethnicity as proof that Pinoy-ness is the ingredient that makes anything special. At least that was the intent behind the poorly written copy in one ad. One marketing expert told us that the text seemed lifted straight from the “core brief”, an internal document that advertising agencies use to outline campaigns for their clients.
