Here’s the Enrile Impeachment Trial Birthday Cake up close and personal

For his 88th birthday yesterday, Philippine Senate President received a special birthday cake featuring himself and his fellow senator-judges. Here’s that cake up close and personal.

The gastronomic gift is a whimsical recreation of the impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona. Featured are all 23 Senator-judges, with Enrile perched above his fellow legislators towards s the rear. Both prosecution and defense leads Niel Tupas Jr. and former Associate Justice Serafin Cuevas also enjoy their own appearances. They are situated with individual podiums near the front of the cake, flanking iced letters spelling out “Happy Birthday JPE!”

Enrile’s 88th birthday cake was created by Swell Sweets, and gifted to the Senate President by Solar TV.
