Yes, Snack Cart is most efficient stall in Snoopy’s Street Fair

We recently got hooked on Snoopy’s Street Fair, an iOS game that gives a Farmville-like treatment to the Peanuts franchise. A list of the game’s stalls and statistics follows, and our conclusions on the most efficient establishments.

Coin Purchases

The table below features all stalls that can be bought in our version of the game with coins (1.0.5 on the iPad).

  • Name – Self-explanatory
  • Cost (Coins) – Also self-explanatory
  • Time (sec) – The time it takes for the stall to earn revenue, in seconds
  • Revenue (Coins) – The amount of coins the stall earns for each revenue period
  • XP The amount of experience points (XP) the stall earns for each revenue period
  • Revenue/Sec – Coins earned per second within the revenue period
  • XP/Sec XP earned per second within revenue period
  • ROI (Days) – The return on investment, or the total number of days it would take a stall to earn back its original cost

As you can see, the Snack Cart is a clear winner in terms of ROI. It only takes 3 minutes total to earn back your initial investment, and is one of the higher items in experience gained per second.

The Pinball Machine is also worth mentioning, because it has the highest XP/Sec value in the game (tied with the Gumball Machine; more on that later). It also earns over 3 coins per second. Perhaps that’s why it’s only available late in the game, at Level 28, and takes almost 55 hours to recoup its initial investment.

A caveat: our data on the Photo Booth, Sally’s Lemonade Stall, Violet’s Cookie Stall, Frieda’s Cuddle a Cat, and Rerun’s Face Painting are incomplete. We bought and upgraded them before compiling the data above, so if you know how much a Level 1 Lemondate Stall, Cookie Stall, Cuddle a Cat, and Photo Booth cost, share in the comments below.

Snoopy Dollar Purchases

Like other “freemium” games, Snoopy’s Street Fair is a free download. But some in-game items can be bought only with Snoopy Dollars, currency that is earned two at a time whenever a new level is attained. Dollars can also be purchased with real world money.

So it goes without saying that Snoopy Dollars are much more valuable than Snoopy Coins, and players should spend them wisely This also means you should never use them up to fast track construction or revenue periods.

Among all Dollar-only items, the Gumball Machine should be on your shopping list. It costs only 10 Dollars, but earns 2.12 coins per second and 0.53 XP within the same period (again, tied with the Pinball Machine).

You’d think the game would reward players who spend actual cash on it more, but the truth is that coin purchase items are actually more efficient. Among the Dollar-only stalls manned by Peanuts characters, Shermy’s Root Beer provides a measly 0.47 Revenue and 0.20 experience points per second. That’s only slightly better than the old standby, the Snack Cart.

What about upgrades?

All the manned stalls (the ones featuring the Peanuts characters themselves) can be upgraded to increase their revenue and XP earned. All upgrades we’ve encountered don’t decrease the stall time, but we’re wondering if enough upgrading can ever make a manned stall more efficient than a Snack Cart. Stay tuned for our conclusions on that, dear readers!
