Microsoft Philippines raffling off SUV, Trip Abroad, and Phones for Windows 7 buyers

As part of its family-centric Christmas-themed marketing, Microsoft Philippines will enter buyers of Windows 7 products into a raffle. Up for grabs: a 2012 Mitsubishi Montero Sport, a trip for four to Singapore, and a “family bundle” of four HTC Radar smartphones.

The only requirement to join the Windows Family Raffle? You’ll have to buy desktop or laptop running Windows 7, or just full bundles of the operating system (OS) itself, from participating retailers. The promo excludes PCs or OS bundles bought before November 14, 2011, and purchases involving Windows 7 starter and OEM versions. Buyers must register microsoft.com/philippines/windows/windows7/familyraffle/ (not windows.com.ph as stated in the contest mechanics [PDF]) on or before December 31, 2011. Clearly, Microsoft Philippines hopes this special promo will push more Filipino users towards officially-supported desktops and laptops with Windows 7 preinstalled, and legal copies of Microsoft’s PC OS. Who knows how much Christmas bonus pesos the contest will attract?
