HedKandi is a successful worldwide music brand known for their dance beats and a wide variety of products including audio equipment and clothing. The HedKandi Discotheque is just one of their audio products and we see if it is any good.

Packaging

The HedKandi Discotheque comes in a sturdy looking box with the iconic HedKandi artwork all over. The actual headphones are carefully secured inside via a combination of paper packaging and plastic.

The HedKandi Discotheque headphones is available in 4 colors: Black, Blue/Pink, Purple and White/Coral. I got mine in Black. =)

HedKandi Discotheque Product Specs

Driver diameter: 40mm

Impedence: 32 Ohms
Max input power: 100 mW
Cable length: 1.5m

Usage and Performance

I expected the HedKandi Discotheque to be a little bigger but i found out it has quite a snug fit on my head. The headphones feature a pair of adjustable braces on either side which didn’t do much with the fit. On extended usage, this might be uncomfortable for some people who have bigger than average heads (me included) so i resorted to tilting the headphones sideways across my head for a loose fit.

I tried a vast variety of songs with the HedKandi Discotheque ranging from content from Eminem, Ne-Yo, Soundgarden, Beyonce, Nelly, Club Music, 90s era music and games such as NBA 2k11 and Mass Effect 2. For the most part, the HedKandi Discotheque sounded good except when you crank the volume real loud where the bass starts to break. Some people might find it weird cranking up the volume using headphones, but hey sometimes you really need to FEEL the music. =)
