Prices from the Sony Ericsson Expo 2010
Yesterday we were at the launch of the Sony Ericsson Expo 2010, an event at Megatrade Hall 1 in Megamall Building B that promised up to 50% off on certain Sony Ericsson products.
The launch saw at least two Sony Ericsson executives waving the flag for the brand’s newest smartphones, attempting to orient the products to a demographic eager to share content online. But we were more interested in the prices. The Expo promises a price drop of at least 10% for buyers who pay in cash or agree to a twelve-month installment plan through an Allied Bank credit card.
Numerous retailers who carry Sony Ericsson products were given their own booth space for the event. The promised “up to 50% off” applies to end-of-life models, which means their availability depends on the vendor. There are also some Sony Bravia and Vaio products available on a discount, and even price cuts on DVDs and CDs from Sony Music.
The Sony Ericsson Expo 2010 will last until this Sunday, July 25, 2010. Interested buyers should head over to Megatrade Hall 1 in Megamall Building B, Ortigas.
