Cell Phone Network Codes in the Philippines
Update: Forget about the list below: here’s our latest version.
Or: How to determine if a number belongs to Globe, Smart, or Sun (part 2).
Here’s a badly needed update to Find Out if a Number is of Globe, Smart, or Sun. Again, if you want to find out which service provider a cell phone number belongs to, check out the list of prefixes below:
| Globe | Smart | Sun |
|---|---|---|
| 905 906 915 916 917 926 927 935 936 937 996 997 |
907 908 909 910 912 918 919 920 921 928 929 930 938 939 989 999 |
922 933 923 932 |
If you see a number starting with “+63″, replace that with a 0. So +639171234567 becomes 09171234567.
Most unlimited text and call promos only work for numbers belonging to the same operator, so it’s important to know if your contact is compatible with your money-saving routine. Clearly Smart has the most area codes assigned to its cellular service—probably yet another indication that they have the most cell phone users in the country.
