Ruffa-Gutierrez-N97-miniFor someone who doesn’t consider herself a geek, Ruffa Gutierrez‘s gadget arsenal will make anyone drool. The celebrity even admitted to using her phone and laptop too much, but also enjoys how technology makes certain things easier.

Thanks for this email interview. Could you list your gadgets for us?
I have a Nokia N97 mini, Macbook Air, Macbook, Canon G11 camera, Olympus Tough-6010 Waterproof/Shockproof camera, iPod Classic, Bowers & Wilkins Zeppelin speakers, and the Flip Ultra HD. I’m waiting for the iPad :))

That’s quite a lot! How exactly do you use your gadgets?
I use my mobile phone to stay in touch with friends, share my location through OVI maps. I also update my Twitter & Facebook while stuck in traffic or during downtime at shoots.

My cameras capture memorable moments that will serve as memories of the past :) The Flip primarily to capture my kids’ activities, travels, parties etc.

The iPod Classic I use to entertain guests, when on the treadmill, for a jog, or when I need to cry before a heavy scene. The Zeppelin speakers I bring to the beach, my dressing room, and pretty much wherever I need to hear some music.

What about services? Which do you use?
I have Globe Platinum & Smart Infinity accounts, and have activated my Globe Duo. PLDT is my landline provider, and I also use Globe Visibility.

Do you consider yourself a gadget geek—someone who can’t live without their gadgets—or just see your gadgets as tools to get things done?
As you can see my gadgets are tools to get things done. I’m not really a geek but lately I’ve been using my phone & laptop way too much. It’s so convenient, at least compared to the 90s where my suitors used to fax me or send snail mail from overseas. Now we can text, use Skype, and chat… I love it!! :)

i wonder why she opted for the n97 mini rather than the iPhone… she already has a macbook and a macbook air so why stop there? aside from the ipad… but i’m guessing she likes the physical keys…
