iPhone-3GPay to play (or call, text, and surf) under a 24-month Globe plan, and the iPhone 3G and its newer brother the iPhone 3GS become a bit more reasonable.

According to Globe‘s Postpaid plan selector site (which by the way, should lost faster guys!), you pay the following when you sign up for an iPhone Plan P1,599:

iPhone 3G 8GB P7,200
iPhone 3GS 16GB P12,850
iPhone 3GS 32GB P18,450

The following table shows total expenditures over two years. Like many other postpaid plans from Globe, the contract lasts for 24 months:

Phone Unit Cost + (P1,599 x 24) = Total
iPhone 3G 8GB P7,200 + P38,376 P45,576
iPhone 3GS 16GB P12,850 P51,226
iPhone 3GS 32GB P18,450 P56,826

As you can see, Globe is bending backwards to make the remaining iPhone 3G and both iPhone 3GS attractive options for potential postpaid subscribers. P18,450 is nothing to sniff at, but P56,826 over two years sounds very reasonable. What do you think, dear readers?

It does seem feasible although with the improvement in android phones, I don’t think an iPhone would be the best decision for me.
