So Just How Versatile is the Nokia N900?

N900-PS3-SNES

There’s no official word on the Nokia N900’s local availability (one reader though mentions being able to order one through unofficial channels). But maybe it’s worth the wait, as the following video shows.

That’s right—I don’t know any other device that can play an SNES game, and let the player control it through a PS3 SixAxis (apparently not DualShock 3?) controller. And since the Nokia N900 has TV-out function, the player can follow the action of an immensely big HDTV! The instructions for the set-up are a bit complicated, but it should be cakewalk for anyone versed in Linux. The N900 runs on Maemo, a software platform developed by Nokia based on Debian Linux.

Thanks jab jab!
