That according to reader printspot:

I bought Windows 7 professional 64bit at pchub gilmore. Cash at 7,200 while 7,600 for card

pchub-gilmoreNow I’m not sure if his installer only has the 64-bit Professional Edition—the official installer sold by Microsoft’s retail partners locally contains both 32- and 64-bit versions, and costs P15,500.

What’s the difference between both versions? With 32-bit Windows, your computer can’t use more than 4GB of RAM (or more like 3.25GB). 64-bit versions don’t suffer from this limit, allowing you to maximize your PC by boosting its memory to 8GB or even 16GB (the max is 128GB, but that can change as Microsoft improves Windows).

It used to be hard to run software designed for the “normal” 32-bit Windows on 64-bit, and you still need different drivers for your hardware. But starting with Windows Vista, the previous version before 7, any compatibility issues are practically non-existent.

Whatever the case, feel free to keep those Windows 7 price tips coming in!

I’m guessing this is the OEM price, not the full retail version. Technically you need to be buying this bundled with a new PC to get that price.

Why spending 7K for unstable and unsecure OS?
