BlackBerry Bold 9700 Now Officially in the Philippines

The BlackBerry Bold 9700 is finally here in the Philippines officially, according to local PR company Virtusio. But is it just me, or have I already seen this phone in some of my friends’/acquaintances’ hands? Or did I confuse the Bold 9700 for the older Curve?

For now though it’s reasonable to assume that either Globe or Smart (or both) will be offering this phone as part of a two-year contract—and for free when bundled with the more expensive monthly plans.

Update: Just got a reply from Virtusio: “Yes it will be available through Globe and Smart, but they will disclose their offers when the smartphone becomes available at the end of the month daw po.”

    i’ve had mine since december..err..so i guess it’s already available in the Philippines :) ) ..but of course I didnt get mine from Globe/Smart.

    just had mine weeks back. this one sucks if you’re a social media geek who wants to cut on cost. w/o the BB services, you won’t be enjoying this one.. grrrrr..
