Gibo’s Dongle Up for Grabs!

Here’s a chance to win “a pre-paid wireless broadband”—courtesy of Gilbert “Gibo” Teodoro, the administration’s standard-bearer for the 2010 elections!

Gibo-Teodoro-DongleThe catch? Apparently you have to volunteer and help out Mr. Teodoro’s campaign. Interested participants will need to enter their full name, mobile number, and email on this page. Participants also need to “refer five friends who… would want to volunteer as well”, by entering their friends’ email addresses.

But wait, there’s more! Only those who get three of their friends to volunteer for the Teodoro 2010 campaign are in the actual running for what seems to be a weekly draw for “a pre-paid wireless broadband”. What’s not clear is which brand Gibo and Co. are patronizing. Does the “lucky weekly winner” get a Globe Tatoo, Smart Bro, or Sun Broadband? Also, how much is pre-loaded onto these units?

Has anyone here benefited from Team Gibo’s benevolence? Feel free to share the details below.

in my own opinion this is not a promo or what so ever, this is a form of vote buying compare to Bayani Fernando and Manny Villar’s promos.. although there is no assurance that the volunteers will vote him. definitely not so good to hear.

Sounds to me like some people misunderstand the term “Vote Buying”–Vote buying is when an undecided person is given money to (or not to) vote for [insert candidate here]. This on the other hand is an incentive to volunteer in the actual campaign. Like campaign shirts, and other materials.

I agree with SooFoo. This is only for the die-hard volunteers. =) Incentive lang. People sometimes talk too fast without thinking twice.
