does it have a scratchpad in taking down notes similar to Palm's Notes (not a sketchpad wherein you have to save a page everytime you shift to another page)

great post! ok im a bit confused now i dont know which one should i buy the nokia 5530MX or the 5800MX ?
i heard that the nokia 5530 is less in price and has no pgs, is that so ?
but i dont really care about the price range , i would like to know which one carries the best features (eg camera , touch screen quality etc).
thnx

I just don't know what took Nokia so long to come out with a capacitive touchscreen model. It'll be interesting to see how the improved responsiveness of that kind of screen affects the Nokia S60 5th Ed. experience. :)

I tried it for a couple of days; my officemate asked me to install stuff on it and basically get it up to scratch. The touch screen in pretty decent and is better than the 5800's in terms of sensitivity.

Even if it's purportedly a cheaper 5800 successor, it doesn't feel cheap and it really the sort of thing you'd gift a beloved relative with.

That said, what I'm really waiting for is the Nokia X6. It started shipping in the UK yesterday, I think, so hopefully it'll get here soon.

What's nice with the X6 is that it's basically Nokia's first truly high-end touchscreen-only phone (the N97/Mini have slide-out QWERTY's) -- and with a capacitive display to boot, which gives it some cred with the Apple fanbois out there ;-).
