Juan Access, a Portal for Philippine News
If you don’t know what a news aggregator is, head over to JuanAccess.com, the popurls.com of the Philippines.
Basically, Juan Access (for non Filipinos, the site name is a play on the phrase “One Access”) lists the latest headlines of local websites—including Technograph (ahem, ahem). So if you want a quick picture of what’s happening in the Philippines, add JuanAccess.com to your bookmarks.
Juan Access is the brainchild of up-and-coming designer Dino Latoga, who shows proficiency with web design and WordPress on his personal website. Here’s what his email to me said:
To the editor:
Warm greetings to you my fellow Pinoy.
My name is Dino Latoga and I’m a web developer and frequent blogger.
I’m developing a website called JuanAccess.com. I’m sure you’ve never heard of it yet since it’s a project that I’m still currently on and it’s still at beta stage. It’s a popurls.com inspired website and if you aren’t familiar with it, it’s like a portal that gives people easy access for popular and latest links and stories.
I don’t want to make this email long so I just want to inform you that I used your RSS feed and aggregated it to display under the Technology section of JuanAccess.com.
The website is actually live right now although it’s still on it’s beta stage. In case you don’t want your feed to appear on my project, please let me know.
Or if you have any suggestions for the project, I’d be very glad to take them and put them in good use.
Thank you very much and I’m looking forward to your reply.
Regards,
Dino Latogahttp://dinolatoga.com
By all means, keep Technograph’s feed on my website Dino, I’m no Rupert Murdoch! Got suggestions for Dino? Feel free to contact him directly, or leave your opinion below.
