Building an Asus Computer

Asus Philippines was kind enough to send some computer parts to test. They even sent the CPU case un-assembled, meaning my first experience with an acrylic, clear CPU case unfolded slowly.
Here are the parts Asus sent:
- Intel Core i5 750
- A 9800GTX+ graphics card
- Asus P7P55D Deluxe P55 Crossfire
- Clear Asus-themed exhibition CPU case
Why did Asus lend us these? To see what the P7P55D can do of course. It’s an enthusiast motherboard, which allows hardcore gamers to link two graphics cards together for maximum gaming power. The P7P55D also features various functions designed to make overclocking the processor easier—at least that’s what the company marketing says.
Right now we’re waiting for the other parts we need (power supply, RAM, hard disk) to arrive, so stay tuned! is currently available from PC Express for P14,260. Top-quality gaming hardware apparently doesn’t come cheap!
