Turn Windows 7 into a WiFi Hotspot

A feature that’s supposed to be part of Windows 7 did not make it to the final release. Virtual WiFi is a feature developed by Microsoft Research and is supposed to be part of the Windows 7 final release but somehow it’s lost along the road. Virtual WiFi enables your laptop running Windows 7 to be an instant hotspot. The feature did not make it to the OS completely but some of its code is included making a way for a company to develop a software to enable this feature.
Connectify exploits the unfinished feature and turns your laptop to an instant wireless hotspot. With connectify you can share your internet connection to other WiFi enabled devices without the need for a wireless router or access point. Amazing huh? You can share internet to your friends when you’re in a coffee shop that charges about P100 per hour for wireless internet access.
I haven’t tried the software myself but will do and write a full review here soon.
