Globe Duo Is Now Globe Super Duo

Globe Telecom launched a Wireless Landline service several months ago called “Duo”. You’ll have a Globe prepaid mobile number and your Duo number. With Duo you can call any landline within your locality for free, unlimited. You can also call other Duo users for free, unlimited. Now Globe has come with “Super Duo”.
It’s now available to all Globe users and there’s no need to buy a new SIM Card. All you have to do is text SUPERDUO <Keywords> to 8888 to subscribe. The cost is PhP499 for 30 days.
With Super Duo, you can now call landlines and other Globe/TM users all around the Philippines for free, unlimited. If you’re currently subscribed to Globe Duo service, you need to deactivate it by texting DUO OFF to 8888. The remaining credits on your Duo account will be credited to your Super Duo account. One question though is if you will lose your Duo number because you turned it off. Globe did not make that one thing clear.
Refer to the following keywords to activate Globe Super Duo:
Text SUPERDUO <area> <plan> to 8888
Codes for Area are the following:
- MM for Metro Manila
- CEB for Cebu
- TAG for Bohol
- ROX for Capiz
There two plan options:
- 35 – P35 for 1 day
- 499 – P499 for 30 days
I am thinking of trying out the service soon but I can’t find use for the unlimited calling as I don’t call that much. If I decide to try the service out, will provide a full review here soon.

My 1mo Globe Duo plan is not working again; worked for only 1.5 days in the past 6 days. after 5 complaints, think i’m done. i’m giving up.
Globe Duo is a great, innovative idea, but an unreliable service. 450 went to nothing, with lost transactions and other economic costs. sad.

My contract with Globe expires on November 17. I will then downgrade to a plan 500 and subscribe to Superduo! Once you register to Superduo or DUO you cannot downgrade your plan for at least 90 days.

Switched to prepaid then signed up for Superduo. Freaked out a bit as I could not call PLDT lines for the first 3 days then everything went smoothly after that. I now pay Php800 a month flat. Still cheaper than GPlan 500 + Superduo. Currently waiting for best postpaid offer from 3 telco’s before choosing postpaid again.

Prior to my subscription to SUPER DUO, I was using their other programs like 232 235 to save on calls. These were saved into my phonebook, and not knowingly used these even though I activated the SUPER DUO. NOW globe is charging me for these calls despite HAVING BEEN GUARANTEED UNLIMITED GLOBE TO GLOBE CALLS. Are these not globe calls??? On top of that, there wasn’t any notification or advise made by globe that these would be charged separately. Nothing was stated in their terms and conditions the specific dialing or that super duo is not in conjunction with other promos. So now, INSTEAD OF SAVING MONEY, IM PAYING DOUBLE!
