Where is Typhoon Pepeng (Parma)?

Quick tip: if you’re worried about when that next typhoon (named Pepeng locally, and Parma internationally) will hit us, feel free to visit typhoon2000.ph, the self-styled “Philippines’ first website on tropical cyclones”. Here’s a tracking image from that site that forecasts Pepeng’s path.

Another useful feature of the site is availability of typhoon tracking materials you can download and print out. These allow you plot the path of incoming typhoons using only direction and position updates from weather agencies.

To be clear, Pepeng is still quite far from the Philippines. That will probably change over the next few days however—or even within the day. So it’s best to stay on top of the situation. So long as you have power and access to the internet, why not, right?
