Cignal Digital TV Now Available Through Smart Wireless Centers

cignaldtvCignal Digital TV is a Direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV provider in the Philippines alongside Dream Satellite TV and GSat Global.  Dream and GSat offers Standard Definition (SD) Broadcast while Cignal offers SD and High Definition (HD) broadcast.

Cignal Digital TV is operated by MediaScape Philippines with office located in 9th floor of Jacinta Building 2 near the MMDA Guadalupe headquarters.

Currently Cignal offers 3 High Definition channels, Voom HD, History HD, and Disney Playhouse HD.  All HD channels are delivered in 720p resolution.  HD Pay Per View channels are also available (currently they offer it for free).

They have post-paid and pre-paid subscription plans.  For SD you can avail of the PhP390/month package.  For HD it’s Php450 per month and there’s no prepaid plan for HD.  They also have the Cignal Combo which is combination of Cignal Digital TV plus the Cignal HD (20 DTV Channels + 3 HD Channels).

Cignal uses the NSS11 Satellite which is in 230 degrees South West orientation.  This means your Satellite Dish must be pointed to 230 degrees South West at 67 degrees elevation. This is the same satellite GSat uses while Dream uses the Aguila II satellite.

Cignal TV is a great choice for Filipinos who wants to experience real digital TV broadcast and true HD broadcast.  I’ve subscribed to Cignal DTV but I am yet to install my dish.  I will do a more detailed review of their service once I get the service up and running.

    Cignal has many problems. No customer service is just one of their major faults. You will not be happy with their product. Cable is a much better deal in my area. Why pay twice the price for a 10% better picture?

    Sound varies in volume.
    Sound not in Sync with the picture.
    Non-HD channels below average.
    No customer service.
    Installers untrained.
    Payment scheme not convenient.
    Installers overcharge for install.
    No standard install prices, varies with greed of installer.
    Personnel not technically savvy.
    Installers have no tools or instruments.

      people learn from my mistake sa pag subscribe sa CIGNAL TV!!!
      1. always know if there is a local satellite office of the company your subscribing too, like smart, globe and skycable. coz get this CIGNAL TV does not have one!!!! even the people that do the connection does not know where is the head office.
      2. Don’t believe in their promises. coz their satellite tv sucks!!! bigla na lang nag-mute ang sounds or nag-freeze ang pictures pero may sounds…. you will think your tv has the problem but it’s their dumb connection.
      3. konting ulan lang nawawala ang signal!!!
      4. they have the worst ever customer service. biruin mo sabihan akong CONFIDENTIAL daw ang head office nila!!!! meron bang ganun????? san ka magrereklamo kung ayaw mong kausapin ang mga very incompetent na mga customer service staff nila!!!! and is it legal!!!!
      word to the wise. DON’T SUBSCRIBE AT CIGNAL TV!!!!

    Im really disappointed with Cignal, its easy for them to collect money from the customers but service in return is slow. Installer came to the house to install the gadgets and i paid all the necessary fees, its more than 24 hours Cignal havent activated the cable channel yet. its frustrating i paid 6,090 pesos and i am watching only 2 local channels for the money i paid.

    last night. It is more than 24 hours and I am still waiting for my subscription to be activated. Can somebody help me with the activation!!!!!!!

    Forgot to say about Cignal TV: If you have a 2nd set top box, the cignal website clearly states installation as 500 pesos if done at the same time as the 1st box. However their partners charge 1,500 pesos! I brought this to the attention of CignalCare but they refuse to answer my query. suggest complaint to . . . http://portal.ntc.gov.ph/wps/portal Good luck with Cignal.

      ..study how discs work in physics. Of course, there are inconsistencies if there are blockades (i.e. bad weather) in between two discs or satellites communicating each other..lol

    nagloload po kmi ng cgnal via smart retailer. but the problem is pag ang gustong ipa load ng customer ay plan 590 at plan990 ay unable to process and service is not yet available lagi ang narrcv n txt messages. bakit ganun ayaw malod?pag paln 250 at 390 naiilod. one more thing is, this acct # 2311470 ay ndi rin malodan ng plan 250 bakit po kaya? wat happen to this aCCT?

      Meron ako binili card 590 pero ng itext ko na ayaw gumana kasi sabi ng taga Cignal di daw pede kasi pang 390 at SD daw yung unit ko ayun sayang naman yung 590 ko baka may alam kayo na gustong bilhin ito willing to sell it at 400 pesos na lang.

    so many contact numbers for their services inquiries wala namang sumasagot..kaka reload ko lng nang prepaid ko until now wala pa rin until when ang pag hihintay…wala man lng mapag tatanongan kung ano ba dapat gawin…cgnal sucks!!

    cgnal customer po ako.ang comment ko po ay kinukuntrol ng dealer ang account number , ayaw nya ibigay kaya dun kami mabalik palod sa kanya. magalit c rudy sulit, ang dealer d2 sa dipolog.bakit ganun?minsan 2weeks d nya malodan kami.problem talaga.

    ang pangit ng ciganal cable hindi available ang load npkahrap hanapin para lang mgpaload ng cignal prepaid kung ak s inhyo wag n kau mg avail ng cignal. hindi maganda ang service cra p ang remote nla 2 days p lng sakin ung unit kya nkkainis.dpt kc kuntento k db dhil mahal dn un sana lng.
