I’m not an avid Mac user, like many sensible people (I kid, I kid!). So I let master creative dude Marc de Vera play around with Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), on the old white Macbook I upgraded from Leopard (10.5). Here’s what he thought after a few minutes of use.

-Did not notice much aesthetic difference from leopard but the interface does seem a bit ‘snappier’. This is pretty apparent when using cover flow to browse through files.

-Did not notice any speed differences in starting firefox.

-No noticeable lag whatsoever using the brush tool in photoshop.

So far that’s all I can say for now. Didn’t get enough time with it sayang.

I’ll agree with Marc: my own experience with Snow Leopard was that it did things faster than Leopard. If you’ve tried out Snow Leopard for yourself, feel free to share your opinions below. For now though I can say that the P1,690 upgrade price is quite reasonable—only if you’re an avid Mac user of course.
