Globe Broadband Tattoo: What Comes in the Box

p1060800Globe recently sent over a prepaid Globe Broadband Tattoo kit for me to review. Decked out in G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra livery, the plan is to test Globe’s extremely rebranded mobile internet service throughout various parts of Metro Manila. For now let’s see what comes in DVD-like casing.

Click on a pic below to see the full-size version:

In the kit are the:

  • Globe Broadband Tattoo SIM
  • Huawei E1552 Broadband USB modem
  • Quick Start Guide
  • Copyright and Safety Information
  • Strap
  • Two Installer Discs

The two installer discs aren’t really important, featuring installers that were most likely included at the behest of sponsors. CD 1 contains installers “Audition”, “Cabal”, and “ZXOnline”, all from E-Games. The second disc contains a trial version of McAfee Anti-Virus, Movie Trailers, “Adidas Clips”, and “Levi’s Clips”.

More importantly, the installer of the USB modem is on the E1552 itself; plug it into a computer running Windows XP and Vista, and it the software will copy itself to the computer automatically (so far I haven’t been able to find drivers for Mac and Linux systems). The USB modem also doubles as a microSD reader, as it has a slot for that kind of memory card on top of the SIM slot.

Stay tuned for updates, as I test Tattoo throughout Manila. Find out more about Globe Tattoo Broadband, and the “special” G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra edition.

Question, why is it when I installed my Globe Tattoo, my PC became slow?
