Discounts on Renewing .PH Domains

This morning I received an email from dot.ph informing me that the domain technogra.ph (of Technograph, this website) is expiring in 90 days. In exchange for renewing the domain in the next 30 days, for either 5 or 10 years, I get the following discounts.
- 5-year renewal: $150, or a $25 discount over the normal five-year cost of $175 ($35 x 5)
- 10-year renewal: $250, or a $100 discount over the normal ten-year cost of $350 ($35 x 10)
I’m honestly considering availing of the 10-year renewal discount. As Technograph looks to be a long-term project of yours truly, I’d rather pay a lot of money now, and not worry about renewing the domain until 2019. $100 in savings is also nothing to sniff about, and it represents a domain cost of $25 a year, much more reasonable than dot.ph’s normal fee off $70 for two-years (or $35 a year).
What about you, fellow .PH owners? I’m pretty sure long-time .ph website owners like Manolo would consider this a great deal, but I also understand that not everyone can afford to spend close to P10,000 on their domain. The full email I received follows below:

All I know is, if I sign up for the 10-year renewal, dotPH had better not make .ph domains cheaper than $25 a year!

I doubt they’ll drop the prices soon, there are still a lot of unregistered premium domain names which are still available for registration. Once those are mostly taken, that’s the only time I believe it’s gonna pull the price down.
The deal sounds great, as the prepaid deal needs at least $1000 to get the rate at $25/year.
