Flesh Asia Daily Raid: More Consistency Please

So yes, the brothers behind Flesh Asia Daily, a NSFW website, have been arrested. And it’s all because of that Hayden Kho & Katrina Halili Scandal. But what about the other people who ended up on FleshAsiaDaily.com (FAD)?
For the record, I believe that FAD has crossed the (not necessarily legal) line many times. Numerous times they’ve posted compromising pictures and videos, despite the expectation of subjects that their naked bodies would remain private.
Yet I also believe that anyone who takes photographs or videos of themselves naked and engaged in sexual acts, without taking precautions to keep them private, is really asking for online exposure. (I’ve also contributed one photo to the site—a picture from a public event where the lighting highlighted a woman’s camel toe—out of fun)
What’s even worse though is that our politicians and law enforcers have, once again, displayed inconsistency, leaving the impression that they’re only willing to do their job if it will gain them publicity or political advantage.
Why didn’t anyone prosecute FAD when they posted pictures of Ira Eigenmann, spread-eagled for the world to see? Those pictures were allegedly intercepted/stolen by an anonymous source (I’m not sure), so they also constitute a violation of privacy, right? The whole issue was popular enough that it practically made FAD, and it also led to stories on high profile websites like pep.ph.
The authorities could’ve also made a case then, under article 201 & 202 of the revised penal code, since the site technically distributed “immoral doctrines”. Yes, shaky ground, but that’s the foundation for their case against FAD right now.
And what about that young girl, who drank herself to sleep? She became the star of a video featuring her privates, and various close-ups of her school ID to leave no doubt of her identity. FAD also posted that video (they weren’t necessarily the source, and after at least one complaint they took it down) and yet, nothing came of it.
Suddenly, with Katrina Halili, you’ve got all these politicians all riled up! They spent the taxpayers’ money to convene at least one hearing investigating the issue they created, and seemed powerless to stop it from turning into a circus that produced nothing. What is it about Katrina Halili and Hayden Kho’s appearances on FAD that merit such legislative attention?
Even those who aren’t familiar with FAD will take a quick look at what Bong Revilla Jr. and co. are doing, realize that the 2010 elections are coming up, and slowly shake their head. They will resignedly sigh, indicating their increasing cyncism and apathy about the Philippine political system.
Merited in my opinion, because you’ve got personalities who can never seem to be consistent, in words and deeds (and not only when dealing with online scandals).

yep. in other words, [grabe] mga politko yan. umuupo lang naman para magnakaw sa kaban ng bayan, nagkakawang gawa para pumogi at bumango ang pangalan. Damn those wretched souls. May they burn in hell eternally and may their families rot as well so that they will know the consequences of their own actions. I am not a pro-government/ anti-government civilian but i guess that’s the way politics goeas around here in the Philippines. and then ang yayabang ng Filipinos when it comes to their smalltime achievements. Tsk. what a shame.

May mga opisina pala mga ito. Our police don’t do things at their own cognizance. They have to receive complaints from authority figures like congressmen and priests.

These political people are just using the media to advertise themselves. Nakakatipid sila kac they dont need tto pay for advertisements. All they have to do is to pretend that they are sincerely doing these so called good deeds because the case involves famous people. I doubt if isang ordinaryong tao ang nakasali sa case baka Imbestigador or XXX lang ang magbibigay pansin. Wlang isang politiko ang magmamagaling at magmumukhang maangas at galit sa harap ng camera. Shame on them.

I agree with Phoenix, why not look into your own backyard before storming through others’? It just makes me angry that justice ‘primarily exists’ for the rich and famous. That’s the reason why people have this notion of rich vs. poor, because of this treatment the government is putting up on this scandal case. go to hell you filthy politicians and I do declare, I AM ANTI-GOVERNMENT. yáll go F**k yourselves.
