SM North to Get IMAX Theater by July 16, 2009

Looks like SM’s plans to open more IMAX theaters in the Philippines proceed. SM North EDSA is the next mall to enjoy the upgrade, as reported by Migs.
Hopefully SM Prime Holdings will go all out with its second IMAX theater. The first one honestly feels like a low-budget implementation of the cinematic experience, with a relatively small screen compared to its massive counterparts in other countries. SM no doubt has limited funds and space, but they’ll need every advantage over next-door competitor Trinoma.
Assume pricing similar to the IMAX theater in Mall of Asia (P300 for “run-of-the-mill” viewings, over P500 for blockbusters).
