BPI Installment Madness Underway
Last June 15, the traditional zero-percent consumer electronics orgy known as BPI Installment Madness started. It’s a yearly event where retailers setup shop somewhere in Glorietta (this year, in the middle common area) and offer their wares.
On a recent trip, I found two value-for-money gems worth your consideration.
- Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 (2.66 GHz, 3MB Cache, 1066 FSB) 65W
- 4GB DDR2 RAM 800 MHz
- 320GB Sata 2 7200 RPM hard disk
- 16x Supermulti Drive (burns and reads CDs and DVDs)
- NVIDIA GT120 1GB HDMI/DVI/DSUB ATX
- Windows Vista Home Basic 32 Bit
- 56 kbps modem
- Card Reader
- Bundled with a 19″ monitor (X193HQAXB), USB mouse, keyboard, and speakers.
While I wouldn’t use USB speakers with any computer (they tend to put more load on your CPU), this desktop package is a great deal. The specs are powerful enough to run most games decently for at least a year or so, at a price of P34,450. Or 12 monthly payments of P2,780.33!
- 12.1″ LCD Display
- Athlon Neo MV-40
- 2GB Memory
- 320GB hard drive
- WiFi (up to 802.11n) and Bluetooth
- DVD-RW drive
- Vista Premium
- 512 Video RAM
The DV2 is known for its great mix of portability and performance. It’s nearly as small as your typical netbook, but packs more power. Payment options: 12 monthly installments of P4,162.50 or a lump sum of P49,950.
Those are two offerings that piqued my interest. If you want to see what may also be available, I’ve managed to scan some Accent Micro flyers I grabbed, so click on the thumbnails below to see the full-size versions! (they’re each over 1MB in size, so be patient as they load!)
Have you gone to the BPI Installment Madness event and found genuinely great promos? Feel free to share them as opinions below.
