When Will the PSP Go Hit the Philippines?

The PSP Go: I’m sure some of you dear readers have heard about it?

sony_psp_go_3

Anyways, full details are available on The Gadget Blog, and summarized for your convenience below:

  • 3.8″ Display (comapred to 4.3″ for the now older PSP-3000)
  • More compact than previous PSPs
  • Controls slide out from underneath
  • No more UMD
  • Will use Memory Stick Micros instead of Memory Stick Duos
  • 16GB on onboard memory (sweet!)
  • Features Bluetooth aside from the usual WiFi (double sweet!)

So when will the PSP Go Hit the Philippines? Well, Sony’s planning an October 1, 2009 release in North America and Europe, at a price of 249 dollars or euros respectively (despite the euro being worth more than the dollar). You can bet the PSP Go will be available in the Philippines before December, at around P15,000. At least it apparently works without a Memory Stick or UMD—thanks to that built-in 16GB memory—and you can bet that new Bluetooth feature will allow file-sharing between other PSP Gos and other gadgets like cellphones and laptops. So start saving up for a very special Christmas. Bluetootan na!

i lold in the “bluetootan na!” part. ive always wished for a Bluetooth function in my PSP 1000. still, i don’t think i’ll replace it anytime soon, at least not until it’s completely broken.

The PSP Go would probably be a big hit here once they crack the hardware. Imagine, 16GB memory! No more memory sticks!

Is it true that Sony has filed its bankruptcy already? If yes, are there certain business units that will retain its operations?

wtf! its not worth buying for.. 15k??? you can buy NINTENDO wii or XBOX 360 @13k (most store) or just add 3k for a PS3.. kung tutuusin mas ok pa ung psp-3k… which costs 9.7 and can now be downloaded with games (cso and iso)…. and so.. it has it’s slide feature huh? d kaya masira ribbon nyan kakaslide? like most ericson phone? kilala ang sony sa pinaka madaling masira ang ribbon when it comes to sliding form… XD…

not only that! how can you play TEKKEN on this kind of set up button, to lame to play fighting games and parang madaling mahulog while playing and aside from that maliit yung screen and masyadong malayo yung analog stick paano pag maliit yung kamay nung gagamit, hay naku better stay to my ever loyal SLIM.

Don’t forget: candybar form factors are always better because they’re more durable.

What good is a nice-looking gadget with that flipping/sliding doodad if it’s going to break easily?

hey since umd’s are totally removed from the psp go, would someone know how game purchases would be? i believe that presently not all regions(like phils) have access to the playstation store., would there be like alternate ways of buying or would there be a possibility of expansion of the playstation store?

im sorry i know little about these stuff.,

id still like to have one despite the criticisms:D

I’ll wait for some official reviews kung sulit talaga to. Sa tingin ko mas maganda to share-share nalang tayo, like what you’ve said “bluetoootan na!” lol and fuck UMD’s! 16gb is great too and the slide thing and sexy controls. Sana by Xmas’ makakuha :)
