When Will the PSP Go Hit the Philippines?

The PSP Go: I’m sure some of you dear readers have heard about it?

Anyways, full details are available on The Gadget Blog, and summarized for your convenience below:

  • 3.8″ Display (comapred to 4.3″ for the now older PSP-3000)
  • More compact than previous PSPs
  • Controls slide out from underneath
  • No more UMD
  • Will use Memory Stick Micros instead of Memory Stick Duos
  • 16GB on onboard memory (sweet!)
  • Features Bluetooth aside from the usual WiFi (double sweet!)

So when will the PSP Go Hit the Philippines? Well, Sony’s planning an October 1, 2009 release in North America and Europe, at a price of 249 dollars or euros respectively (despite the euro being worth more than the dollar). You can bet the PSP Go will be available in the Philippines before December, at around P15,000. At least it apparently works without a Memory Stick or UMD—thanks to that built-in 16GB memory—and you can bet that new Bluetooth feature will allow file-sharing between other PSP Gos and other gadgets like cellphones and laptops. So start saving up for a very special Christmas. Bluetootan na!
