The N97, Nokia’s newest flagship model, is set for a worldwide release soon. Interested buyers in the Philippines can avail of a local pre-order period, scheduled for this June 16-18, 2009.
To sweeten the deal, those who pre-order stand a chance to score a free Linksys WRT54G2, a wireless router that turns the immediate area into a WiFi hotspot. Nokia’s currently being coy about the most important detail, but we expect the price to be in the mid-P30,000s. Neither do they explain why apparently only the black variant of the N97 will be available for pre-order. At least Nokia Philippines was kind enough to share this video, which quickly summarizes the phone’s do-everything feature set:
Also note how the above video fully reveals the phone’s bracket-based sliding mechanism.
Updates to follow as they become available. For now you can head over to The Gadget Blog for some pics and specs, as well as a more detailed demo video.

Wait with that phone. Preordering the buggy N95 was one of my biggest mistakes in the last years.

N97 i think is a good choice. It’s nothing it’s the collaboration of all good stuff from earlier phones in a new sexy body. I want to buy if i have the money. I think it’s a good buy!
