GTA IV + Maxim Philippines Promo Update: Only P140!

A lot of you have emailed me about the GTA IV + Maxim Philippines promo shared here yesterday. Some of you wonder if it was too good to be true, if there was some catch involved. So I decided to avail of the promo of myself. Turns out you can own a legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto IV for only P140!
I visited the Mini Stop branch close to my office, and asked about the promo. According to the cashier, all I had to pay for was just one copy of Maxim Philippines; I didn’t even have to get another magazine as originally reported! And as you can see from the pictures below, this game is no demo (click on the thumbnails to see larger versions):
The GTA IV packaging that was bundled with the May 2009 issue of Maxim Philippines (again, featuring Geneva Cruz) contained:
- 2 DVDs containing the actual game
- Map of Liberty City (the fictional city where Grand Theft Auto IV is set)
- A “magazine” that actually doubles as the game’s manual
- The “Survival Guide”, which details the extra PC-only features of GTV IV
In other words, my copy was definitely no demo! And at only P140, it was definitely the best deal I’ve encountered in quite a long time! Definitely better than Yoshinoya’s GTA IV promo!

I’ve been to two ministop this day… One said that they are not one of the selected ministop. I saw two copy of maxim june issue and no bundled.
The other one that i chedked out said that the promo is already over. I didn’t believe it because I know that the promo is until at the end of the month. And I didn’t see any maxim magazine in their place. I’m thinking that it’s just currently out of stock.
