I bought Dell Inspiron 1525 last nov 2008 at Electroworld SM Manila, im happy with the performance of my dell, although I was interested of adding 2G mem card, I called to inquire, and they said its avail for 1250 but only for 1G, and so I went there the next morning to have my laptop upgraded, i waited for 1 hour only to find out that the repairman is not coming... ( the sales attendant were very nice though), I was advised to return the day after, and so I did, they said that they ordered the mem card from dell but the label says KINGSTON... they opened up my laptop and and they were to install the mem card; I noticed that the existing mem card on the unit was PC 800, they were installing PC 533, they said it would still work; I demanded them to have it verified first by their manager or someone who's more knowledgeable on PC's, their tech manager Boby said it WILL cause a prob... (kainis talaga)... I already paid the mem card, they said they would have to reoder the correct mem card... I waited for 10 days; I called every day to check, (the ones who answers their phone were very nasty, only to find out that they're the store managers!) And so I decided to have my money back.. they said they will refund my money but in a form of check...sobrang galit ko (pero I was very composed) the 2 manager's were trying to explain their fucking policy)... of course I was adamant to have my money back... I said all the efforts came from my end tapos the most they can do was to give my money back in a check?! I have spent an hour nagging at them before they refunded my money back. Octagon offered KINGSTON 2G PC800 PHP 1,500. I installed it my self...
I still like electroworld though for their competitive prices...

a bad experience when i visited OCTAGON Computer store LIMKETKAI MALL in Cagayan de Oro City last November ... the store has a lot people and the sales man are busy at that time so i look around check out the laptops then this fat ugly security guard saw me looking at the laptop and start sales talk me to buying one. My budget is only 20 thousand pesos so i asked him if there is a cheaper laptop maybe a price of 20 thousand or below but he insulted me and giving me a bad attitude saying " Maam sa surplus ka dapat pumunta mga bago ang mga tinda namin dito. doon ka dapat pumunta sa american surplus sa labas ng mall. so walk out and being insulted by a security guard i cant forget his tag name in his uniform SG NAPULI i will never go near this store again. He is not doing his duty guarding the store instead he acts like a sales man not only that his rude person i dont know why they hired this kind of person.
