Yes, no one will be able to beat the really really low prices of video game pirates. But if you suddenly find yourself earning more money than before, and feel the need to play your old favorite games, why not just spend at least $5.99 (a bit less than P300) for legal games on gog.com?
Think about it: you’ve just finished Fallout 3 and want to play Fallout and Fallout 2 again. Either you spend time looking for your old pirated copies, look for them at your nearest bootleg copy vendor, or just spend under P600 for both games, and download them to your computer.
Gog does a great job of keeping its catalog DRM-free; you can make as many copies of your game as you want, and burn them onto CDs or DVDs for backup purposes. And the old games have been updated to work properly on Windows XP and Vista. If you need to reformat your PC for any reason, and forgot to back-up your games, you can always download them from gog.com again at no additional charge.
For each game, Gog also offers “downloadable content available for free after purchase”. In the case of most games, this means a manual and a high-resolution wallpaper. For some special gems like Beneath a Steel Sky (which by the way, is free), you get other special content like avatars and a comic book!
Here are some personal favorites I plan to buy soon—gog.com accepts Visa, MasterCard, and PayPal:
