WebSapient Rips off Portfolio of Filipino Designer

So Marco Palinar woke up one day, and found out an “American” site based in India ripped off his entire portfolio. Websapient.com may have taken down its portfolio page—which practically copied Marco’s pixel-bypixel—but the damage reputation-wise has been done. Especially since you’ve got some angry Filipino bloggers writing about the whole affair:

• Websapient is full of bullshit – Written by none other than Marco’s girlfriend, Liz.
• WebSapient? More like HOMOSapient! (So-called design company rips off entire portfolio from Pinoy designer) – Provides proof that the portfolio in question really is Marco’s.
• WebSapient rips off ENTIRE portfolio of Pinoy web designer – A traumatized victim of plagiarism shows support for Marco.
• Uh, ‘Scuse Me???? (Ripping Marco) 12.10.08 – Informal analysis about websapient.com’s history as a website and copyright in the Philippines
