Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Now Available for Pre-Order

Nokia Philippines announced (via email) that the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is now available for pre-order in the Philippines:
Be one of the first in the Philippines to own the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device. Log on to http://www.nokia.com.ph/ and pre-order one now. Pre-orders can be claimed in early January 2009. The first 58 claimed pre-orders will receive a Sennheiser HD-205 headset and SVIP passes for two to the Nokia 5800 HedKandi Playlist Party on January 23, 2009 at A.Venue Hall, Makati. Next 100 claimed pre-orders get an access pass to the party.
From appearances though, it doesn’t look like an actual pre-order, but a promo to get people to sign up for a mailing list, or in Nokia’s words: “Register your interest to be notified as soon as it is available”.
Nokia Philippines does sweeten the deal with the promised tickets to that Hed Kandi event for the first few people who sign-up. And according to the press-release “pre-ordered” 5800s will be pre-loaded with Kjwan’s upcoming album, “13 Seconds to Love.”
By the way, will that January 23 event be the 5800’s official launch for local consumers? It’s reasonable to think so. On top of that, why won’t Nokia Philippines reveal the final price yet? I’ll try to find these out ASAP, so stay tuned for updates on this consumer-friendly Nokia flagship.

I had the same projection when I first featured the phone a couple of months ago. Not sure if P20,000 is the last price.

weLL,, i got mine last jan.08.. My husband bought it for me in Singapore for US$435.00.. It’s complete with the following accessories: 2 sets of Headset , USB Cable, TV Connector and a nice n5800 jacket. Also included are the Plectrum used for texting and Stylus for your unique handwriting style (+1 extra stylus). I’m loving it.. Everything is here,, music (pod,radio), net, touchscreen pa.. And there are instructions of most of what you need to know in the real player… KewL!!
