The Paid Cellphone Charging Station
By Rico, 9:09 am Fri Nov 21 2008 - News - 10 Opinions

On a recent trip to Mini Stop, I encountered this cellphone charging station that sells up to 30 minutes of charging time, for 5 pesos per 10 minutes.
This paid charging station also supports—aside from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung, Siemens, and Motorola phones—iPods and PSPs. Pics of the complete unit for those who continue.

I remember encountering something similar during a trip to Davao last year in one of the malls there.

There are several Nokia charging stations in Eastwood that are free. But they’re only for Nokia. And I recall seeing some charging stations in Megamall way before.

And if I’m not mistaken, all Burger Kings here in the Philippines have free charging stations, for Nokias, Motorolas, and Samsungs.

Libre din sa Wendy’s. I invest in car chargers, so I never really need these suckers.
