2009 National Budget to be (Hopefully) Available Online Soon

So the Philippine National Budget for 2009 has passed, earmarking a total of P1.415 trillion for government expenditure. Whether or not you believe reports that the budget finalization was a “sneaky” move by administration lawmakers, you can expect the official budget figures to become available on the Department of Budget and Management website.

Well, the 2009 budget’s appearance may take some time. First the senate has to approve it, then someone has to upload the documents detailing where the money is set to go for 2009. Let’s see how quickly the Philippine government works to finalize this important document, and makes use of technology to inform the public, shall we?
