Last Wednesday evening, Dell officially launched the Studio laptop, Studio Hybrid Desktop, and Mini Inspiron 9 in the Philippines. I won’t bother posting pictures of the event, because all it featured was some dancing, and dressed up people meant to represent various sectors of society. Ok fine I will:

Pricing and availability info for those who continue.
Here’s what the press kit had to say:
The Inspiron Mini is available in Obsidian Black and [runs on] Windows XP. The Inspiron Mini with Windows XP Home will be available at P24,600.
The [Studio laptops] are available [as of September 17, 2008] through Dell authorized retailers at P61,400 (Studio 15) and P87,400 (Studio 17).
The Dell Studio Hybrid is about 80 percent smaller than the typical desktop minitower, and uses up to 70 percent less energy.
Sorry about the Studio Hybrid folks. For some reason, no price was quoted in the press kit. Anyways, Dell Philippines definitely isn’t cutting Juan dela Cruz some price-wise slack (compare local prices to the ones in the US and you’ll see what I mean). At least I can vouch for the traditional superb quality of Dell’s offerings. The fact that the Studio Hybrid has is HDMI-capable—able to plug into monitors like the HP 2207h—is also intriguing for me. Watch out for more details as I get them. Check out the rest of my poor-quality pics below, meant to show the comparative size of the gadgets:
