Nokia Philippines Owns Pinoy Exchange

Well, not “own” in the literal sense. Currently, Pinoy Exchange is in a Nokia phone, as pictured. Publishing veteran Alvin Jimenez weighs in:
But for Pinoyexchange to allow their site to be defaced by a single advertiser? I don’t know how much exactly Nokia paid for this, but c’mon, I’ve always thought Pinoy Exchange was better (and definitely bigger) than that.
Pinoy Exhange isn’t the first website that has modified its look around a major sponsor. Popular American websites like PerezHilton.com and Gawker change their background or blog theme, for instance. But we agree with Alvin; it’s a bit overdone on PEX.
It’s a definite win for Nokia. By continuing the secure some large-scale property on PEX (previously the website was contained within a mock Nokia N95), Nokia Philippines maintains presence on a large chunk of the Filipino online community—indicating once again the massive marketing budget at their disposal.
