Marketing Your Store Online 101?

The Young family recently purchased a franchise of Kopi Roti, a Singaporean cafe chain that has attracted customers in the Philippines with its distinctive coffee buns.
They’re opening a branch at The Pergola mall near BF Homes Parañaque, and even as construction is ongoing, they’ve managed to build a little publicity for their new business venture—for practically no cost!
That’s because they’ve created a blogspot account, and are currently using it to build anticipation by posting pics of their store’s construction. They’ve even provided an estimated day of completion (”We are estimating the construction to last only 20 days long”, says an entry dated June 28), which in our opinion builds even more anticipation.
Aside from that, the blog also contains the information future customers will likely find most useful, which is mainly how to get to the store and how it will look like once construction is completed.
To be fair, the Youngs have quite a strong brand to work with, so they have an easier time building publicity for their establishment. Kopi Roti has found quite a following locally, and the relatively affluent residents of BF Homes are sure to be interested. What’s a bit remarkable is that the new Kopi Roti owners realize the potential of the online world—and are attempting to use it to full effect.
