Technology Makes Sulpicio Lines’ Record Clear
We already called out the poor use of technology by Sulpicio Lines. Yet it seems that Sulpicio Lines will emerge unscathed from the disaster and worse, learn nothing from the incident.
Ironically, technology is beneficial in this case, exposing the poor track record of the shipping line. At least that’s the opinion shared by these 3 websites. Continue to see our rundown.
- Wikipedia – Chronicles the “worst peace-time maritime disaster in history”. The MV Doña Paz was operated by guess who?
- monacome.com – Cites at least 3 maritime accidents, that have involved ships operated by Sulpicio, including the MV Princess of the Stars.
- pinoyexchange.com – This forum thread lists at least 5 incidents.
If Sulpicio Lines does have a poor track record of safety, shouldn’t they have been shut down/forced to make significant changes a long time ago?
