LG Mobile Philippines in Talks With Globe and Smart

Representatives from LG Mobile Philippines confirmed yesterday that they will be meeting with people from Globe and Smart today.
Primarily, the agenda will involve determining “what the requirements [of these two operators] are” and how LG Mobile’s product line-up can fit into Globe and Smart’s “key customer segments”, according to our source.
The meeting will also include demos of LG’s newest products, including the Secret phone (pictured) which is to be officially launched to the Asian market today. The aim is to accomodate the operators’ apparent focus on “segmented marketing.”
LG Mobile is currently trying to increase its presence on the Philippine cell phone market. Globe and Smart are currently the two big cellular operators in the Philippines. By setting which phones are available with their respective prepaid and postpaid plans, the two companies exert a significant influence on Filipino cell phone usage.
The apparent success of LG’s Secret phone makes its Philippine contingent confident of its chances. According to LG Mobile Philippines General Manager MJ Kim, the phone sold over 200,000 units in its debut. We’ll provide further details as they become available, so stay tuned!

i bought LG X110 Notebook. It has this USIM Slot. I tried to search what is that USIM but i can’t find any helpful info. I hope u can help me.

If I’m not mistaken, services like Sun Broadband Wireless, Globe Broadband Tattoo, and Smart Bro use USIMs. I suggest you contact one of the telcos’ service centers for more info.

Hi, i wonder if you can help me. I have an LG U310 w/c purchased from Australia (Three mobile) and i have already unlocked it to the SMART network. And now the WAP & MMS settings will not work. Can you please tell me the correct settings? Tnx. More power to LG

hmmm. i also have the LG X110 and the USIM is, unfortunately, not available in our country. they have this sony ericsson something that it acts up as the modem. un ang alam ko. hehe.
