2.4Ghz MacBook Pro for P85,000

If you have P85,000 set aside, longbeard has an “entry-level” 15.4″ MacBook Pro for you. He’s just told us about this package, which comes with a free Coolpad, a platform that keeps those powerful laptops well-ventilated and cool. Read on to see what P85,000 can get you, and why the price is totally worth it.

We say “entry-level”, because this MacBook Pro puts most desktops to shame. Aside from sporting a bright 15.4″ screen, this MacBook Pro has this:

  • 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor
  • 2GB of memory
  • 200GB hard disk
  • NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB of memory
  • WiFi and Bluetooth
  • DVD Writer
  • 2 USB 2.0 ports, 2 FireWire ports, and 1 Express Card Slot

All those stats mean that this MacBook Pro can do a lot of things, from demanding stuff like gaming and video editing, to your basic office work and web surfing.

While longbeard can’t support monthly installments (meaning you have to pay in one go), P85,000 is still a very low price, especially since it’s backed by a one-year international warranty (courtesy of AppleCare).

You can email longbeard sa moleskine.ph (replace “sa” with “@”) to order.

i thought macbook pro ranges from 120-180php (correct me if im wrong), why is it cheaper (85,000php)?

Whoa, maybe for a Mac Pro, but definitely not for a MacBook Pro! Retail stores don’t go that high, hehe.

Longbeard can go cheaper because he doesn’t have to maintain a store, pay for salesmen, etc. The flipside is that he only accepts lump payments—no 12-month installments available.

By “entry-level”, I was talking about how this particular MacBook Pro is the “weakest” of the whole line. But it’s still pretty powerful. :) Hope we’ve answered your questions!

No problem. If you need more details, you can also visit Apple’s technical specs page. :) As you can see, the 2.4Ghz 15.4″ model is the least powerful, but it’s still powerful enough.
