Check out Fitz Villafuerte’s Million Pesos Calculator. It’s a nifty widget that anyone can use to find out just how long it will take them to save a million pesos.
The widget is a block of code that anyone can slap on to their website and share the wealth (pun intended) with their visitors; you can see it in action on this very article (those of you reading this in your feed reader, click here).
Thanks to Fitz for using technology to come up with a potentially useful tool for any Filipino. The Million Pesos Calculator may help some people dream, but it also provides a practical savings roadmap for those who want to build up some mad money; adjust the values of the calculator and see what kind of set up works best towards a financial fortune.
If Fitz is open to a suggestion, we’ve modified the code of his calculator somewhat to make it fit better in blog posts and the like:
You can copy the text in the box, and paste it on your Multiply page, Friendster account, wherever! Or, you can of course us Fitz’s original code, whatever floats your boat. Just replace “float:right” with “float:left” below if you want to align the calculator towards the left side:
