The Philippine Flag Photo Contest

This Year’s Winner: Jimmy Hilario! You can view the other entries here.

Last Tuesday was National Flag Day in the Philippines, and we noticed that there are few awe-inspiring photos of the Philippine Flag available online. That’s why today, we’re announcing the Philippine Flag Photo Contest.

We’re looking for the most inspirational photo of the Philippine Flag in digital format; the photographer who impresses us the most will win a P1,000 Fully Booked Gift Certificate.

Mechanics

Between today and 10:00 PM, June 11, Philippine time (deadline of submission), email a photo of the Philippine flag to editor -at- technogra.ph (replaced “-at-” with “@”) with the following details:

  • Name
  • Website (if any)
  • Where the photo was taken
  • A brief description of the photo

Your photo submission must be in .JPG format, with a width of 540 pixels. It doesn’t have to be a new photo; it can be a scan of an old black-and-white photo for instance.

Unfortunately, we can only open this contest to residents of Metro Manila, Philippines, as Fully Booked only has branches in said area.

Choosing the Winner

We will choose the winning entry based on its quality and how well it presents our national flag. Again, any entries received after 10:00 PM, June 11, 2008 (Philippine time) will not be accepted.

The winner will have their photo published on Technograph on June 12, 2008, as part of its celebration of Philippine Independence, and will receive the gift certificate via free delivery.

So, what are you waiting for? Send us your entries as soon as possible! Questions? Leave a comment below. (Flag Photo by Sasha Manuel)
