The Guidon, the student publication of Ateneo de Manila University, recently featured on torrents and how they’ve facilitated online piracy. The article makes a very good point:
The question is, who must adjust: the companies producing videos and music or the consumers?
“Economies always adjust given new technological developments,” says Claudio. “Because technology changed, suddenly it’s up to us to adjust and they enforce these anti-piracy laws on us?”
