NeoOffice: OpenOffice.Org Optimized for Mac OS X

For Mac users who no longer want to run their pirated copies of Microsoft Office, NeoOffice sounds like a great free alternative. There is OpenOffice.Org, but NeoOffice claims that it “is a reasonably stable version of the OpenOffice.org office suite that has been engineered to run natively on Mac OS X.”
So what’s wrong with just downloading the OS X versino of OpenOffice.Org? Here’s what our resident Mac expert had to say:
Technograph: Isn’t there OpenOffice.Org for the Mac?
Mac Expert: Yes, but it’s ugly and requires x11… I dont know how to describe it.. Basta it’s just not as ‘seamless’ as you would expect from a mac app
TG: x11?
ME: erm.. hehe
TG: Fine, fine, we’ll just wiki it.
To make a long story short, NeoOffice is an office suite optimized for Mac OS X. You can download it here.
