Rico Zuniga Produces Online Tongits With Adobe AIR

“Adobe AIR is a cross-operating system runtime that allows web application developers to use their existing web development skills to build and deploy rich Internet applications to the desktop.” Or in layman’s terms, AIR lets anyone distribute their web-based programs for stand-alone use on a computer.
An online Tongits game (located at tongits.net), created by local developer Rico Zuniga, runs on Adobe AIR. Meaning that after it’s downloaded, it can be played despite the lack of internet connectivity. While we at Technograph are impressed by the game’s workable interface, AI, and graphics, we can’t help but wonder if the average Filipino is willing to shell out $15 for a piece of Filipino gaming. At least, with the weak dollar, the game’s price isn’t too expensive in pesos.
Check out the demo here. A multiplayer-capable version is apparently in the works.
Update: A source has revealed to Technograph that Rico Zuniga hails from Legaspi City, Albay.
