Airborne Access Logins Lead to Yahoo Home Page

Ostensibly as part of a partnership with Yahoo, users of Airborne Access hotspots are directed to the Yahoo home page once they successfully log on to the broadband service. Previously, logging in would lead to Airborne Access’ own home page. Perhaps this development has something to do with Yahoo’s recent search for an Online Community Manager for the Philippines?
Whatever the case, this apparent arrangement between Yahoo and Airborne Access works towards the former’s favor. It brings in new traffic from a market that’s increasingly discovering the joys of a laptop and Wi-Fi that smells like coffee. We at Technograph also feel the urge to point out a broken link. Clicking on the “Company Info” link on the footer of the Yahoo Philippines homepage (ph.yahoo.com) leads to the “Asia Information Centre.” The broken link on that page promises “Employment Opportunities“, but leads to a 404.
